Ski Storsenter
The Ski Storsenter shopping centre is located right next to the Ski railway station. Since opening in 1995, the centre has been a popular meeting place in the heart of Ski and a favourite shopping destination. The shopping centre is large and airy, and boasts over 140 shops and eateries. It has won several sustainability awards and even has beehives on the roof and a charming garden. This, and the fact that it is located right next door to the cinema and library, makes the Ski Storsenter more than just a shopping destination.
Da Vinci bridge
When driving on the southbound E18 motorway towards Ski, you can't help but notice the Da Vinci bridge. Painted by artist Vebjørn Sand and inspired by Leonardo da Vinci himself, the footbridge is an architectural gem in the landscape that stretches over the motorway.
Ski cinema and library
The library in Ski is one of two branches of the Nordre Follo municipal library and is located in the city centre and connected directly to the Ski Storsenter. The library has ongoing author visits and other events and is the habitat of bookworms and others who like to enjoy a quiet moment in relaxing and pleasant surroundings. Looking for a little more action? Just outside the library, the ODEON Ski cinema shows blockbuster films in eight different theatres, for a relaxing experience with popcorn and entertainment.
Vitenparken in Ås
Only a 15-minute drive from Ski is a paradise for the young and curious. On the campus of Norwegian University of Life Sciences, an experience centre has been created with a focus on technology, food and research. Exhibitions and events are organised here that are guaranteed to teach the entire family something new.
Ski Bowling
Enjoy a homemade hamburger and something refreshing to drink before getting the ball rolling at the Ski Storsenter. The Lucky Bowl bowling lanes have everything you need for a fun night out, whether with friends, family or colleagues.
Tusenfryd
Ski is a perfect starting point for butterflies in your stomach. Only ten minutes away is Norway’s largest amusement park, Tusenfryd, where you can experience thrills on roller coasters with steep drops and huge loops. The park also has rides for the littlest ones, a water park in the summer and eateries where you can relax with a bite to eat before heading off to the next attraction.
